EU, Japan move closer on data protection deal

An agreement between the EU and Japan should ensure smooth data traffic. If it comes into force, the "world's largest safe traffic space" would be created.

EU says ‘thanks Mr Zuckerberg’ for highlighting new data rules

The EU thanks Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg for highlighting the bloc's new data protection rules after he said the social media giant planned to follow them during grilling by US lawmakers.
