The EU has stepped up its legal threats to Poland over its controversial Supreme Court reforms, giving Warsaw one month to comply or risk being hauled before the bloc's top court.
The new policy does allow judges 65 and older to stay on, but only if they clear their standing with Polish President Andrzej Duda.
