Internal market flourishes, but protectionism looms
Trade is booming within the European Union. The exchange of goods among the member states is flourishing on the EU's internal market. But there are worries about trade relations outside the EU. US President Donald Trump is putting the EU under pressure with punitive duties. Also, Europe likewise faces major challenges in structuring its trade relations with Britain after the British withdrawal from the EU.

Free trade negotiations between Australia and the European Union

Trade in goods between Australia and the EU could increase by 37 per cent in the case of an ambitious trade deal and the trade in services could increase by 8 per cent.

EU announces retaliatory tariffs on US from July

The European Union on Wednesday announced it will start imposing duties from July on a list of U.S. products in response to President Donald Trump's decision to slap tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from Europe.
